| One Vision Media Productions is a non-profit group that provides training courses for people with learning disabilities in all aspects of media production. People with learning disabilities produce videos for people with learning disabilities.
The group was established in October 1998 through a free speech group. The group found it easier and much more effective getting their point across on video. Taking away the live presentation allowed people to relax and work at their pace.
One Vision has been awarded funding from the Big Lottery fund allowing us to operate 5 days a week and employ 2 staff. There are 15 members who run the management committee all of whom have a learning disability.
One Vision works within the Wigan Borough and has produced videos for free speech groups in and around Wigan. We have produced videos for Wigan Social Services about the complaint procedures and an induction video for new employees. |
